Jericho Road’s Board Training Series Returns

Jericho Road Pasadena is bringing back its Effective Board Training Series.
Led by expert consultant Mitch Dorger, the monthly virtual workshop series is designed to help current and potential board members, as well as any nonprofit staff who work closely with boards, gain the knowledge and skills they need to lead their organizations to success.
Dorger brings more than 40 years of work experience, and has served as CEO of organizations, with operating budgets of up to $100 million, including the Tournament of Roses. With his wealth of knowledge and expertise in nonprofit leadership and consulting, guests will be learning from the best at the Effective Board Workshop series.
Each workshop session will focus on a different aspect of effective board governance, from developing effective nonprofit boards to nonprofit financial management. The full 2023 schedule is as follows:
• Developing Effective Nonprofit Boards: Friday, March 17
• Governance in Action: Friday, April 23
• Nonprofit Resource Development: Friday, May 19
• Nonprofit Financial Management: Friday, June 16
All sessions take place on Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to noon Pacific Time and are held virtually, so participants can join from anywhere. If guests are unable to make a live session, they will have access to a recording on the Monday following the event.
“Effective board governance is the foundation of a successful nonprofit organization,” said Kim Olpin, executive director of Jericho Road. “When your board members have the knowledge and skills they need to lead effectively, your organization is better equipped to achieve its mission and serve its constituents.”
Registration is available now for either the full workshop series or individual sessions at Eventbrite: eventbrite.com/e/effective-board-workshop-series-2023-tickets 546613504707.
