The Pasadena Southwest Little League recently hosted its closing-day ceremonies at Allendale Park.
“It’s an opportunity to bring the players together and honor their achievements throughout the year,” said Matthew Alexander, president of Pasadena Southwest Little League.
Alexander thanked the volunteers from the board of directors to the parents and the coaches who helped make this year’s little league season a reality.
“Special thanks go out to Mario Leos, Robert Tomasello, Calvin Cheng and former President George Hasbun, without whom we couldn’t have pulled off such a successful closing ceremony,” Alexander said.
“It benefits the whole community, and particularly, the kids. This is the first time we’ve been able to do a closing ceremony with representatives of the whole league since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So, to have the opportunity to get everyone together to celebrate the conclusion of a normal, successful season, and to socialize together as a community one more time before we go our separate ways for the summer is just an important milestone in the life of the league,” he added.
