A Piece of My Heart Foundation recently held its Celebrity Golf Tournament fundraiser, which welcomed more than 180 golfers to Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena.
The event, chaired by Pastor Madelyn Manning, featured a dinner and a silent auction.
Funds raised by the golf tournament will go toward medical research of CPVT (Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia), a rare heart condition that took the life of Pastors Kerwin and Madelyn Manning’s 14-year-old daughter, Morgan.
Additionally, the pastors’ mission is to promote awareness and support children and youth diagnosed with CPVT by providing automated external defibrillators (AEDs), genetic testing and CPR training.
