The Waverly School recently welcomed students back to campus, where its new Head of School Clarke Weatherspoon was excited for the new academic year.
Weatherspoon said the Waverly School is in an “exciting period of transition.”
“We are inspired by the new families that have joined our community and look forward to deepening our relationships with returning students and families,” Weatherspoon said. “Top of my list for this year is for students to have fun at school. We aim to deepen our commitment to social justice education and our progressive pedagogy. Finally, we want our students to feel empowered to share what matters most to them and for faculty to be skilled guides and partners in that journey. Waverly is a great place and I know this year will be a beautiful expression of that reality.”
