The Pasadena Fire Foundation held its annual awards ceremony and inaugural golf tournament on Thursday, June 16, at Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena.
In addition to recognizing Pasadena firefighters who served with distinction during 2020 and 2021, the event was an opportunity to raise funds through corporate and individual sponsors in order to further the goals of the Pasadena Fire Department.
This year, the foundation raised money to support the department with mental-health awareness programs and services for firefighters, as well as securing funds to purchase more units of the life-saving Lucas Device, which is an advanced chest-compression system.
This will allow the department to extend the reach of care, keep the team safe and ultimately save lives.
