Pasadena Humane hosted its 23rd annual “Doglegs, Birdies & Eagles” golf tournament at Oakmont Country Club last week.
“Every dollar raised will go toward the animals in our community who need us most,” said Dia DuVernet, the organization’s president and CEO. “It will help us ensure they each have safe shelter, critical veterinary care and a loving family.”
The event was co-chaired by John Berger and Al Plamann. Other committee members included Beth Collins, Bob Fidler, Jeannie Garr Roddy, Beverly Marksbury, Weta Mathies, Bob McCrary, Vance Peterson, Tom Ratanavaraha, Jim Siegristm and Chuck and Robyn Tapert.
Meanwhile, Al and Nancy Plamann and Dick Goodspeed, all of whom are longtime supporters of the organization, were named honorary advisers to Pasadena Humane’s board of directors.
A large contingent of golfers joined additional supporters at an end-of-day fundraising dinner.
The event, which raised $265,000, included silent and live auctions.
