St. Mark’s 6th-Graders Celebrate Promotion

St. Mark’s Elementary School recently celebrated the 28 members of its 6th grade class on campus.
The Rev. Betsy Hooper-Rosebrook gave the opening prayer before board chair Mark Lim welcomed students, parents, friends, faculty and staff to the ceremony.
Head of School Jennifer Foley Tolbert gave the introduction, followed by a message by Stephanie Shen of the Class of 2012. Student Leadership Council co-President Mackenzie Reid gave the introduction to recognize the school’s parents before the Rev. Carri Patterson Grindon presented the National Association of Episcopal Schools Award.
Assistant Head of School Kelly Mancuso announced the winners of the Jessie Sugano Student of the Year and Joscelle Albarracin Shen awards, followed by Student Leadership Council co-President Benjamin Coombes giving the student welcome.
Followed by the class song “We’re Going to Be Friends” by Jack White, Student Leadership Council representatives Jace Linuma and Sofia Perera presented the school with the class gift. The Class of 2022 selected Kendall Simmonds as the student speaker. Tolbert presented the 6th-grade class and Jamie Baldwin and Andrea Meyers awarded the students their diplomas.
