Pasadena Christian School Celebrates Incredible Year

First published in the June 2 print issue of the Pasadena Outlook.

What an amazing year! From the first day of school to the 75th Anniversary Gala, Pasadena Christian School (PCS) has been running on all cylinders and celebrating the achievements of students, teachers and the community.
Early in the year, PCS was awarded the Commercial Design Award from the Pasadena Beautiful Foundation for the lovely 9.5-acre campus, anchored by an award-winning preschool and gorgeous elementary library.
This year also brought back a live performance of Matilda, as well as the instrumental concert and an orchestral performance at Disneyland. Rounding out the festivities, PCS celebrated the retirement of favorite teachers and staff: Margot Bricker, Cindie Ekstrand, Dave Ekstrand, Diane Evans, Heidi Hart, Antoinette Andrews Johnson, John Nelson and Kim Swanson. They will be missed, but they take a lot of love and memories with them to their next adventure.
Finally, PCS was able to take the 4th-graders overnight to Sacramento, the 6th-graders to Astro Camp, the 7th-graders to Monterey and 8th-graders on the much anticipated 10-day East Coast trip. And to top it off, 99% of PCS graduates were accepted to their first choice for high school. More information about PCS can be found at pasadenachristian.org.
