Alison Jones Kelly, president of Niños del Lago’s U.S. Board of Directors and her fellow board members recently hosted “Sweet Dreams,” a fundraiser for Niños del Lago at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pasadena. Guests enjoyed homemade Guatemalan tamales, a marimba orchestra and special handmade Guatemalan arts and crafts in the “Mercado.”
Money raised will support Niños del Lago, a nonprofit organization that strives to transform the lives of thousands of Guatemala’s vulnerable children through an annual camp experience in Lake Atitlan in the Guatemalan highlands. The evening raised money to build a new cabin to house 16 additional children and four counselors.
