Pasadena Bead & Design Show

Pasadena Bead & Design Show returns to the Hilton Pasadena July 21-23. Bead & Design has taken place biannually in Pasadena for over sixteen years (32 shows!) and has become a tradition in the community -both among avid crafters and designers, and everyone who appreciates finely crafted and unique clothing and jewelry.

Experience a world of handcraft and explore vast and eclectic displays of new and old, traditional and contemporary, finished pieces and components. Browsing the 200 exhibits, you’ll find everything from hand-dyed fabrics, hand sewn clothing, handcrafted beads and jewelry to antique beads,  vintage finds, and ethnographic art.

The show is an opportunity to meet artists, artisans and tradespeople who work in various mediums and forms -be it lapidary, art couture, jewelry or bead making arts, and to gain insight into the beauty and design of contemporary handwork.

Pasadena Bead & Design Show is a place for creativity and self expression. The meaning in Bead & Design is intrinsic to contemporary handwork, an interlacing of past and present, colors, shapes, arabesques, florals, mosaics, and facets, the handmade, personal dimension of handcraft. 

Workshops in jewelry making techniques and skills are offered throughout the show. Participants can try their hand at wire work, collage, art clay, chainmaille and more. It’s recommended to sign up for workshops in advance to reserve your seat.
