Five Acres celebrated its 135th birthday with its annual gala at a private Pasadena residence on May 20. Nicole Rasic and Trish Gonzales co-chaired this year’s event, “The House of Five Acres,” which welcomed nearly 300 guests to the historic home built in 1897 and designed by American architect Frederick Roehrig. The event included a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, dinner and entertainment. Guests were encouraged to dress to match the Victorian theme, with many of the guests donning coats, hats and hairpieces for the occasion. This year’s fundraiser focused on raising money for ongoing programs and operations, led by CEO Chanel Boutakidis.
