Local Man Appointed toCommission by Governor

Local resident David S. K. Lee has been appointed to the California Volunteers Commission by Gov. Gavin Newsom. Lee has been chairman and CEO at Hing Wa Lee Group since 1992. He is a member of the USC Widney Society, the Young Presidents’ Organization San Gabriel Valley Chapter, and the Lead With Your Life board. He is on the USC Marshall School of Business Career Advantage Program and an Executive Advisory Board member for the USC Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. “I am honored to be appointed by Gov. Newsom to be on his legacy commission — California Volunteers — which he and the first partner are very involved,” Lee said. “When we last talked during his visit to the site of the tragic Monterey Park shooting, he believes my experience will be a great asset to the state of California. I also would rather be part of the effort to make things better for our sunny state instead of being one that only complains about it.” Lee, who earned a bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurial studies from USC, is chairman and founder of the CEO Club and a chairman of the David S. K. and Katherine Lee Endowment Program for Leadership Development for Flintridge Preparatory School in La Cañada Flintridge.
