Mayfield Senior School’s Head of School Kate Morin and the Board of Trustees recently invited past trustees, sisters of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus and special friends to an Epiphany Celebration.
The event included a Mass in Pike Auditorium, with a dinner that followed in Strub Hall. During Mass, the Sisters renewed their vows, as they have done since the founding of their order, and the celebrant was Rev. Marcos Gonzalez, pastor of St. Andrew Church.
The Feast of the Epiphany has always been a sacred and celebratory time for the Society of the Holy Child Jesus. The founder of the society, Cornelia Connelly, made this occasion an annual three-day Epiphany retreat, where Holy Child sisters around the world renew their vows for tradition.
