The Pasadena Chapter of National Charity League Inc. recently hosted its annual Rosebud Luncheon at a private club in Pasadena.
Family and friends gathered to hear the announcement of the 12 young members, also known as Ticktockers, to be honored at the Pasadena Chapter’s formal Senior Presentation, the Rose Gala, which will be held at a private club in Los Angeles in June.
These Pasadena Chapter Ticktockers, all seniors in high school who will complete their six years of membership in NCL in April, joined with their mothers at the end of 6th grade and have dedicated hundreds of hours during middle school and high school to support local Pasadena-area philanthropies.
Established in Los Angeles in 1925, and incorporated in 1958, National Charity League Inc. is the nation’s premier mother-daughter nonprofit organization. By incorporating mission-based programming, NCL develops socially responsible community leaders and strengthens the mother-daughter bond through leadership development, philanthropy and culture.
The organization recognizes the importance of diverse perspectives and experiences to meet the needs of the communities it serves. Currently, the philanthropic organization has more than 200,000 members and alumnae in hundreds of chapters across the nation.
Last year, members contributed more than 2.5 million volunteer hours to more than 6,000 local philanthropy partners and their chapters, resulting in a $68.7 million fiscal impact.
