The Mayfield Senior varsity girls’ soccer team crushed visiting Ramona Convent High of Alhambra, 9-0, in a nonleague game last Tuesday to pick up their first win of the season.
Junior Nicole Smith and sophomore Julia Salazar each led with a pair of goals, senior Cami Pidoux, senior Ella Gallo, senior Francesca Agliolo, freshman Mimi Vanis, and Valentina Bicos each scored once, while senior Sade Falese registered a pair of assists.
The Cubs were previously shut out at Temple City, 2-0, in their nonleague season opener.
Mayfield Senior (1-1 overall) will host Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy of La Cañada Flintridge on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 3:30 p.m.
WESTRIDGE
The Tigers lost their nonleague season opener against visiting Campbell Hall High of North Hollywood, 4-1, as sophomore Ximena Alvarado scored the lone goal.
The Tigers (0-1 overall) will open Prep League action at Flintridge Prep in La Cañada on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 3:15 p.m.
MARANATHA
The Minutemen will open the nonleague portion of their regular-season schedule at Liberty Charter in Lemon Grove on Friday, Dec. 2, at 3:15 p.m.
POLY
The Panthers kicked off the regular season by hosting La Salle College Preparatory on Tuesday; the result will be included in the following issue.
Poly will visit South Pasadena for a nonleague matchup on Friday, Dec. 2, at 4 p.m.
FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Wolves opened the regular season by hosting Temple City in a nonleague game on Wednesday; the result was too late for the Outlook’s press deadline and will be included in the next issue.
Flintridge Prep will jump right into Prep League action by hosting Westridge School on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 3:15 p.m.
FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART
The Tologs opened the nonleague portion of their regular-season schedule at Monrovia on Tuesday; the result will be included in the next issue.
FSHA will open Back Bay Invite competition against Montgomery High of Santa Rosa on Friday, Dec. 2, at 3 p.m.
