The Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena recently held its 14th annual Black Tie & Burgers fundraiser at the organization’s Mackenzie-Scott Clubhouse.
Every year, BGCP hosts Black Tie & Burgers, its biggest fundraiser, in an effort to raise the critical funds needed to enable children and youth in the community to reach their full potential.
This year’s fundraiser, with the theme “Back to the ’80s,” marks the organization’s 85th anniversary. Founded in 1937, the club’s dedication to ensuring that members have access to programs, offering homework help, tutoring, leadership training, physical fitness, college and career preparation, mentoring, mental wellness curriculum, financial responsibility, and more has never wavered.
The night featured silent and live auction items, birthday celebrations, dancing to live music from the ’80s cover band 80z All Stars, as well as burgers from the Habit Burger Grill.
