The Gooden School recently concluded their academic week with a fall tradition for the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi and honoring St. Clare of Assisi.
The “Order for the Blessing of the Animals” was an opportunity to honor the holiness of all God’s creation by inviting families to bring their pets to the south lawn for a short service and to ask for God’s blessing on these special family members.
It was a joyous occasion which Jo-Anne Woolner has been a part of for the last 28 years — as a parent, teacher, and now as head of school.
“It is so nice to be together on campus again to celebrate this unique part of the history of the Gooden School,” Woolner said.
