La Salle Dedicates Lam Family Amphitheater

On Thursday, Aug. 11, La Salle College Preparatory High School dedicated the Lam Family Amphitheater in recognition of a $250,000 gift from David Lam, president and CEO of Mediverse International, Inc.
Lam’s gift was directed to the Richard Gray Memorial Scholarship in support of the school’s San Miguel Scholarship Program, a scholarship that supports those students at La Salle whose families live below the federal poverty line.
Gifts to the Richard Gray Memorial Scholarship, who served as La Salle’s president for almost 20 years, now exceeds $1 million. The scholarship was established in 2020.
Following his introduction by La Salle President Perry Martin, Lam spoke to the importance of addressing the needs of the disadvantaged, and to the importance of philanthropy in sustaining the margin of excellence of provided by La Salle to its students.
Lam is a former member of the Board of Regents at La Salle. His two sons, Christopher ’08 and Matthew ’09, are both graduates of La Salle.
The Lam Family Amphitheater was blessed by Monsignor Greg Dongkore, a visiting priest of St. Bede the Venerable Church.
