Paul Anderson, a local resident who helped promote the concert, is joined by Peter Phillips, director of the Tallis Scholars.

St. Andrew Church, the historic Roman Catholic church in Old Town Pasadena, recently hosted a concert of The Tallis Scholars as part of the group’s United States tour.
For nearly 50 years, the Tallis Scholars, led by Founder/Director Peter Phillips, have delighted crowds around the world through their award-winning recordings and performances of sacred vocal music of the Renaissance.
Throughout its history, the group has graced the stages of notable venues including Carnegie Hall, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, the Beijing Concert Hall and the Opera House in Sydney, just to name a few.
“We could not be more excited to be hosting The Tallis Scholars here at St. Andrew,” St. Andrew Church Pastor Marcos Gonzalez said before the performance. “It will be quite a sight to witness such an incredible, international talent performing here in our beautiful and historic Church.”
