Sycamores is kicking off their annual Adopt-A-Family program.
The longstanding holiday tradition matches donors in the community with some of the most deserving families who need extra support, including gifts of toys, clothing, household items and food.
Sycamores President and CEO Debra Manners said the Adopt-A-Family program brightens the holiday for the families the agency serves.
“Many of our families do not have the means to provide presents for their children during the holidays without our help,” said Manners. “To see the smiles on the faces of the children and their parents who are lucky enough to be ‘adopted’ is truly uplifting.”
It is on behalf of these struggling families that Sycamores is reaching out and asking members of the community – including individuals, businesses, and other groups – to help brighten the holidays by adopting a family.
Families with the greatest need across all 10 of the agency’s Southern California locations are chosen to participate in this program.
If you would like to provide some holiday magic for vulnerable children and families by participating in Sycamores’ Adopt-A-Family program, please contact Melissa Pittson at email@example.com or (626) 395-7100, ext. 2018.
Sycamores will provide a short story about the family and their circumstances, as well as a wish list. The generous support Sycamores receives is critical to making a difference in the lives of children and families and to providing them with a memorable holiday celebration.
Sycamores is a leader in behavioral health, providing care and support services to the most vulnerable youth in Los Angeles County.
