Poly’s Ella Wu-Ancipink helped the Panthers reach the CIF quarterfinals and earn a share of the Prep League championship this season.
The Polytechnic School varsity girls’ tennis team lost at Orange County powerhouse Tesoro High of Rancho Santa Margarita, 12-6, in the CIF-SS Division III quarterfinals on Nov. 8.
The Panthers (11-2 overall record) shared the Prep League championship with Westridge and Mayfield Senior with 6-2 league records.
Poly’s season ends as it could not withstand Tesoro (12-3 overall), the eventual Division III champions.
The Panthers will look to bounce back next season and claim their first CIF title since 2014 under former head coach Kim Weber.
