Muse/ique Presents ‘Dylan Goes Hollywood’

Muse/ique’s “Dylan Goes Hollywood” debut performance on Aug. 18 brought around 400 guests to the Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Garden’s Chinese Gardens for a night of Bob Dylan’s iconic numbers. The performance highlighted Dylan’s life, music and relationship to the west coast and Hollywood industry featuring songs like “Knockin on Heaven’s Door,” “I Shall Be Released” and “Forever Young,” among others. Performing in the three-night series at the Huntington Gardens and the Skirball Center – which had a combined attendance of 1,100 – were Charles Yang (vocals/violin), Gabby Moreno (vocals), Wendie Malick (spoken word), Elissa Johnston (vocals), Kaveh Rastegar (bass/arrangements), Damon Zick (clarinet), Jamey Tate (drums), Tim Young (guitar), Peter Adams (piano), Los Angeles Vocal Choir with dance accompaniments by Kitty McNamee and Hysteria Collective dancers. Jeffrey Bernstein was the music director.
