Foods included Italian samples from PS Pastaria and Mexican food from TKO Taqueria, new restaurants in Pasadena’s South Lake Avenue and Playhouse districts. The Colorado Boulevard restaurants offered selections from their menus paired with California wine and Mexican beer. Cuban pastries from Gigi’s Bakery were also available.
Also on the menu were samples from LiOrient’s menu, which included such Chinese specialties as Peking duck, sesame tenderloin and bacon-wrapped scallops. LiOrient is housed in the U.S. Bank Tower in downtown L.A.
The evening ended with beer ice cream by Scoops on Tap and wines from Joel Gott made with fruits from the Pacific Northwest.
