Perez is the director and founder of the Mariachi Women’s Foundation and has presented both nationally and internationally, including the University of British Columbia, Kazakh National University of Arts, USC, UC Santa Cruz and the Women’s Museum of California.
Guests will see musical and dance demonstrations and entertainment by the all-female performers Mariachi Divas, Grammy-Award winners and nine-time Grammy nominees.
A “Pass the Sombrero” fundraiser and raffle will be held to raise scholarship funds for a deserving mariachi woman pursuing a college education in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
