High Point Academy’s 8th-grade class celebrated its graduation last Friday. The class of 2019 experienced a banner year in high school acceptances and matriculation. The 40 graduates will attend 10 high schools, and High Point students earned a 100% acceptance rate at La Salle, Maranatha, St. Francis, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, Loyola, Alverno and Bosco Tech. Seven graduates were offered admission to Flintridge Prep.
The class earned 17 merit-based scholarships that have a combined value of about $700,000 over the course of the recipients’ high school careers. The scholarships are based exclusively on academic performance.
