Clairbourn Hosts Entrepreneur Fair and Book Event

Thanks to coaching from Entrepreneurial Fair chair Amber Pollard-Wilson, aspiring student entrepreneurs at Clairbourn School were able to launch their product lines at the fourth annual fair. Preparations started early in the fall and included having the students conceptualize and create products and services, build a startup pitch deck, create a useful value proposition, master good selling techniques, and finally rent a booth and sell products at the fair. The booths displayed healthy pet treats, sushi-inspired clay work, polished rock jewelry, wellness products, finger puppets, greeting cards, custom T-shirts, food items and more. Shoppers were also able to visit the Clairbourn “Dive Into Books” book fair, which was held at the same time. Book Fair co-chairs were Ting Sun and Stephanie Nava. This is Clairbourn library’s largest fundraiser and helps to supply new reading material, visiting authors, poetry programs and digital subscriptions.
