Foothill Family, which provides comprehensive mental health care, early childhood development programs and social services throughout the Greater Los Angeles area, held its “Tip Your Cap & Pass the Hat” event last week at Pasadena’s Noor. Philanthropists Mike and Jeanne Beckman were honored at the second annual event, whose name is a nod to the humble origin of an organization founded by community members who “passed the hat” to assist neighbors in need. The Beckmans have played a vital role in strengthening the agency throughout the years.
