Local residents participated in a unique cooking demonstration fundraiser for Stars, a Pasadena nonprofit organization engaging with children, youth and families from vulnerable communities. Event organizer Kathy Gibson of Compass, Daniel Arias of We Fund LA, and Lisa and Cameron Cripps sponsored the event, which was held at the local residence of John and Deanne Lewis. A seven-course classic French dinner (including filet mignon and escargot), paired with French wine, was prepared by chef Farida Saidi. “It was a great event,” Gibson said. It was so much fun; people had a blast. People gathered around the table, everyone was laughing; it was perfect.”
