The Pasadena Symphony and Pops recently put on a free concert under the stars as a gift to the city of Pasadena. Pops conductor Larry Blank led the orchestra in a celebration of music from Broadway, Hollywood and the Great American Songbook. This year’s concert celebrated iconic music from George Gershwin with “Porgy and Bess,” “I Got Rhythm,” “Someone to Watch Over Me” and “Embraceable You.”
The crowd enjoyed gourmet food trucks, a musical instrument petting zoo and pre-concert family fun. This event is presented with the support of Bank of America’s arts program, which supports nonprofit arts and culture presenters at the local level and with leading world-class arts entities.
