Walden School recently kicked off the new school year and welcomed students back to campus.
A keen sense of community is a hallmark of the Walden educational experience, and Walden students, faculty, staff, and parents are entering the year energized by the opportunity to learn and grow together in person once again.
This year, the Walden faculty and staff will hold a focus on four main ideas: wonder, stewardship, creativity and joy, and how to cultivate those qualities in Walden students. Head of School Terra Toscano, highlighted that these are “active, not passive values,” adding that “they need to be inhabited, and bringing them to life again on our campus with each other and families is a priority for the new year.”
Walden looks forward to bringing the community together and hearing each other’s stories in its child-centered environment that is committed to equity and excellence in progressive education.
