Clairbourn School’s 8th-Grade Class Graduates

Clairbourn School’s class of 2019 gathered recently for a graduation ceremony celebrating the students’ accomplishments, experiences and memories from their time attending the school. The event included four remembrance speeches by 8th-graders Aaron Chang, Kennedy King, Aidan Suyapto and Samantha Frick. An additional speech was given by Student Council President Isabel Cai, who gave her remembrance speech at the school’s final awards ceremony earlier that morning. As their parting gift, the class of 2019 presented to Head of School Amy Patzlaff a catcher’s mitt symbolizing the new sports equipment it is donating to Clairbourn. Patzlaff gave words of wisdom and advised students to always do their best in their present circumstances before the opportunity they wish for comes along — that’s the best way to be prepared, lead a fulfilled life and take advantage of their present moments. The class of 2019 will be attending Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, Flintridge Prep, Gabrielino High School, Harvard-Westlake Upper School, LaSalle College Preparatory, Loyola High School, Maranatha High School, Mayfield Senior School, Polytechnic School, Principia Upper School, San Marino High School, St. Francis High School and Westridge School.
