Holy Family Coffee Shop Raises Funds for Haiti

Holy Family School’s 5th-grade class recently put on its annual Coffee Shop. This is a night on which the 5th-graders, family and friends come together for a night of poetry, art auctioning, coffee and treats. The creative students wrote and performed their own original poetry and auctioned off their art and that of senior volunteers during the school’s Intergenerational Art Program. The Intergenerational Art Program is one of the ministry programs run and led by Mary Ternan and Haeya Kim at Holy Family. During this yearlong program, nine students rotate on a weekly basis and work with senior volunteers to create various art projects led by Annie Helm. All of the art pieces were auctioned for the class’ charity, Hearts With Haiti. They raised close to $2,000.
