Walden Students Celebrate Rhythm

Walden School recently staged its 2019 Spring Sing at the Lanterman Auditorium in La Cañada Flintridge. Themed “An Evening of Rhythm,” the show explored rhythm through a wide variety of dance moves and musical styles. Each Walden class from Pre-K through 6th grade performed a song celebrating musical rhythms through a diversity of sounds, from honoring nature’s rhythms through the life cycle of butterflies, mosquitoes and plants, to Janet Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation” and a song from “Moana” that reminds us how knowledge of nature is passed down through the generations. It was a truly memorable evening that showcased the Walden mission by giving students a voice and platform to share their collaborative creativity.
