Westridge Celebrates Humble Holiday Tuber

Westridge School held its annual Yam Festival on campus the week before Thanksgiving. Parents manned the tables as savory and sweet homemade yam dishes were offered to the students at lunchtime. Food items containing yams as the star ingredient included soup, latkes, stew, chili, fries, muffins, bread, cookies, cupcakes, waffles, chips, ice cream and Rice Krispies treats.
