Chandler Makes a Big Difference on Big Service Day

More than 250 families and faculty turned out for Chandler’s annual Big Service Day on Saturday. Lending a hand for the Pasadena Humane Society, Union Station and My Friend’s Place, the busy volunteers worked cheerfully all afternoon. Extra support came from students in the Junior Arts Honor Society, young alumni in high school and Cub Scout Pack 78. Together, volunteers made more than 400 dog and cat toys, 400 hygiene kits, 110 blankets, 320 scarves, hundreds of handmade greeting cards, and also raised nearly $400 at the Chandler Cares bake sale. The work truly was its own reward, as everyone experienced the joy of giving to others.
