The newly formed Civitas Club celebrated the grand opening of its clubhouse with a gathering of local community members committed to respective collaboration to drive community improvement. Nearly 100 attendees socialized over appetizers and cocktails at the Civitas Clubhouse located at Vanessa’s, adjacent to El Portal restaurant.
The new Pasadena-based, not-for-profit social club is “for creative and civic-minded thinkers who are passionate about improving our community in innovative and positive ways,” said founding board chair Andy Wilson. “If this sounds exciting and of interest, we have a handful of founding memberships still available and we are looking for interested and engaged community leaders to get involved.” Jim McCarthy is vice chair and programming manager.
