Community Foundation Salutes Nonprofits

Pasadena Community Foundation hosted its annual “Local Heroes” breakfast, honoring the nonprofit organizations that received grants from the foundation in 2019. Community leaders joined PCF’s staff, board of directors, donors and friends to celebrate the local agencies and programs that support education, youth services, arts and culture, environment, health, special populations, homelessness and affordable housing, and economic development. PCF and its Funds for Pasadena will make more than $1.2 million in local grants in 2019. “The ‘Local Heroes’ breakfast gives us the opportunity to thank nonprofit leaders for their tireless efforts on behalf of our community, and use the foundation’s voice to share their accomplishments with a broad audience,” said Margaret Mgrublian, PCF’s incoming president of the board of directors. East West Bank was the presenting sponsor.
