Polytechnic School’s 4th-grade Girl Scout Troop 6491 recently hosted the group’s annual Harvest Festival. Troop members were asked to give back to the community by donating various shelf-stable food items/staples for the benefit of Friends In Deed’s food pantry. Attendees also created decorations and put together toiletry care packages for the families who use the services provided by Friends In Deed. Program director Tim Nistler thanked the Girl Scouts for their donations and explained how they will help the organization.
