The Pasadena Pops recently joined forces with Grammy and Tony Award nominee Michael Cavanaugh in paying tribute to the music of Elton John, presenting a cavalcade of pop classics during a concert at the Los Angeles County Arboretum. A large audience was treated to renditions of “Crocodile Rock,” “Tiny Dancer,” “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” “Bennie and the Jets” and numerous other tunes made famous by John. Cavanaugh channeled the English hit maker so stirringly that many of the fans got up and danced.
