Burbank Film Festival Returns to AMC 16 Theaters Sept. 8-11

The 14th annual Burbank International Film Festival will screen more than 130 features and short films in every movie genre.
Following is the partial festival schedule:
On Sept. 8, the Christopher Guest-inspired feature film called “Re-opening: A Lockdown Mockumentary” and LGBTQ thriller “The Way Out,” starring Mike Manning, will open the festival at 7 p.m., with a question-and-answer discussion with casts in attendance following.
On Sept. 9, Italian filmmaker and Burbank resident Gabriele Fabbro will present his directorial feature film debut with “The Grand Bolero” at 7 p.m. with a question-and-answer session to follow.
Sept. 10 is horror/thriller night. In addition to exploring short, goosebump-causing, horror/thriller movies, visitors can also enjoy daytime programming of student, documentary, animation and faith-based films. Daytime feature-film highlights include documentary, “We Want The Airwaves” and faith-based drama, “No More Goodbyes” by Emmy-winning director James Ganiere.
On Sept. 11, Foreign films, documentaries and a riveting drama close out the final day of screenings featuring “Jimmy and Carolyn,” starring Gregory Harrison and Mary Beth Peil with a question-and-answer session to follow.
BIFF is sponsored by First Entertainment Credit Union and Fun Ton Grip & Lighting.
