On Saturday, Oct. 28, the Board of Trustees and the Gala Committee of the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House will hold An Enchanted Evening Gala to raise funds for the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House.
The gala begins at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails and a silent auction, followed by dinner and a live auction at 7:30 p.m. at the Langham Huntington Hotel’s Huntington Ballroom, where DJ Noble will play. Wine and champagne will be donated by longtime supporter San Antonio Winery.
Ronald McDonald will make a special appearance and there will be balloon pop chances and two sessions of Whiskey Tasting, to which only 60 tickets at $50 each will be sold.
John Horn and Jane Kaczmarck will be the masters of ceremonies. Horn hosts KPCC’s “The Frame,” a daily arts and entertainment program. Kaczmarck, currently appearing on the USA Network’s “Playing House,” is best known for her role as Lois on “Malcolm in the Middle.” She also is appearing at the Pasadena Playhouse in “Our Town.”
This year the committee will honor Nestle USA. For the past 10 years, employee volunteers from Nestle have assisted the children, families and staff at the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House, visiting to complete days of service and cooking Meals of Love. Their support has grown over the years to include sponsoring the Gala and Walk for Kids.
Silent and live auction items will include numerous coffee, wine, bath and body, and children’s baskets; gift certificates to Sprinkles Cupcakes, El Portal Restaurant and Pie and Burger; tickets to Mus/ique, A Noise Within, Alex Theatre and the Academy of Magical Arts; art; earrings from China Art and more. The live auction will include items such as a VIP Rose Parade Sharp Seating Package and Rose Bowl Football Game package, seven nights in Hawaii, a fly-along with Pasadena Police Department Air Operations, jewelry by David Yurman, a walk-on part in a Maple Island Films feature film and “Montana Escape” package.
Reservations are $250 per person. For more information, contact Victoria Kemp at (626) 204-0410 or vkemp@rmhcsc.org or visit rmhcsc.org/pasadena or enchanted2017.auction-bid.org.
