Learning Works Charter School recently celebrated its 10th annual “Invest in a Dropout” fundraiser with a scarily fun backyard gathering.
More than 100 guests, some even costumed in giant spiders and witches hats, joined the party complete with a buffet dinner, live music by the Elegant Music Quartet and a silent auction.
The event was emceed by Dominick Correy and Monica Pena, with a speech by Shirley Torres of Homeboy Industries and welcome from Learning Works founder Mikala Rahn.
