Harambee Ministries celebrated the organization’s 40th anniversary with its first in-person gala in three years last Friday evening in Pasadena.
The evening included a silent auction, dinner and live entertainment. All funds raised went to support the critical programming Harambee provides to underserved youth in Pasadena. Felicia Henderson was honored as the recipient of Harambee’s Community Impact Award.
“Harambee seeks to nurture and equip leadership that will holistically minister to the community by sharing Biblical truths in order to achieve the rebuilding of urban neighborhoods through relocation, reconciliation and redistribution,” Harambee Executive Director Angela Lee said. “Our three pillars are community engagement, community impact and community sustainability. We do this through after-school programs, performing arts programs and tutoring programs, all at no cost to our participants through the generosity of donors.”
