Lancers, Golden Knights Collect Victories

St. Francis High School’s varsity boys’ soccer team defeated host Sherman Oaks Notre Dame in a league contest, 2-0, on Wednesday, Dec. 15. The Golden Knights shut out Encino Crespi by the same score on Dec. 17, to move to 2-0 in Mission League play (5-1 overall record). No individual statistics were provided to the Outlook.
The Golden Knights will compete in the three-day Newhall Hart tournament; the results will be included in the next edition of the Pasadena Outlook. The Golden Knights will continue league play after the tournament by hosting West Hills Chaminade High on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 5 p.m.


LA SALLE

The Lancers finished 1-2 in the recent Thousand Oaks tournament on Tuesday, Dec. 21, and Wednesday, Dec. 22.
La Salle (2-6 overall) won its opener against Simi Valley Royal High, 3-2, but then lost to tournament host Thousand Oaks, 3-0, later that afternoon. The next morning, the Lancers dropped their final match to Oxnard Rio Mesa, 1-0. No individual statistics were provided to the Outlook.
La Salle will begin Camino Real League play at Santa Fe Springs St. Paul High on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 5 p.m.

FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Wolves recorded a scoreless draw at La Cañada in a nonleague game on Wednesday, Dec. 22. No individual statistics were provided to the Outlook.
Flintridge Prep (2-3-4 overall) will compete in the La Cañada tournament; the results will be included in the next edition of the Pasadena Outlook. The Wolves will be idle for nearly two weeks until a nonleague match with visiting Temple City on Monday, Jan. 10, at 3:30 p.m.

POLYTECHNIC
The Panthers have been idle since their scoreless tie to visiting Alhambra in a nonleague match on Thursday, Dec. 9. Poly (5-0-1 overall) will attempt to remain the last unbeaten Prep League team when it travels to Marshall High on Friday, Jan. 7, at 3:30 p.m.

MARANATHA
Maranatha has been idle since its 1-1 tie with Flintridge Prep in the San Gabriel Cup Tournament. The Minutemen (2-4-1 overall) will begin Olympic League play by hosting La Habra Whittier Christian on Tuesday, Jan. 4, at 5:30 p.m.
