Westridge Hosts Upper School Commencement

Westridge School hosted its Upper School Commencement on Friday, June 4, on the campus athletic field. For the first time in memory, the 74 graduates in the Class of 2021 requested caps and gowns to wear during the ceremony as opposed to simply wearing white.

Attendees heard from Salutatorian Stella Baldwin, Adele B. Talbert Valedictorian Jennifer Spinoglio as well as the Westridge Glee Club before entertainer and director Raven-Syomone addressed the crowd.

“The power of community, and connection, and support for one another were fully present at our commencement,” said Head of School Elizabeth J. McGregor. “It was a time to reflect on the entire journey of the past 15 months on multiple levels, and the joy of being able to come together in person to celebrate the academic and personal growth and the character, fortitude, and future of the Class of 2021 was heartening and healing.”
