Alice Juarez, a 26-year Wells Fargo veteran who was named region bank president of the Foothill Valley region (which includes Pasadena), has been actively involved in helping strengthen her community. Recently, Juarez and her leadership team spent the day volunteering at Villa Esperanza Services — a nonprofit that focuses on the care and education of individuals with disabilities — during its annual Sports Day.
From learning new chants and cheers to rooting for and encouraging children as they moved through the various skill-building stations, Juarez and her team, helped ensure the youth had a great and memorable event.
“For 20 years, Wells Fargo has been a leader in Pasadena as we work together to strengthen the community,” said Kelly White, chief executive officer at Villa Esperanza. “Alice’s leadership continues to build on our special relationship and helps move Villa Esperanza forward. We are truly honored by the level of commitment Alice and the entire Wells Fargo team have shown us throughout the years. Their genuine interest and care for our organization will continue to make a difference in the lives of so many children and adults with disabilities.”
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Alice for many years,” said Lisa Stevens, Wells Fargo Regional Bank executive for the Western Region. “Her commitment to the community truly reflects Wells Fargo’s Vision & Values of being a corporate citizen.”
Juarez, who began her career with Wells Fargo as a teller, is a mother of two and an ardent community advocate. “At Wells Fargo we believe we are only as strong as the communities we serve,” said Juarez. “We believe it is important to keep healthy and strong relationships in the community. That’s why we support Pasadena through our philanthropic efforts and do our part to help our customers’ success financially.”
Juarez went on to describe how, over the past year, Wells Fargo’s Community Bank initiated key changes in the way the bank interacts with its customers in a program called “Change for the Better.” This program is leading the way to rebuilding trust and making the company better after its sales practice issues, according to a company spokesperson.
