Barnhart School’s recent Celebration of STEAM — science, technology, engineering, art and math — included a week full of activities. Students participated in a schoolwide design challenge, recited the digits of pi, ate pie and coded. The week culminated with the Celebration of STEAM events where individual science projects, grade-level class projects and art projects were on display. Parent and community members with careers in science and engineering were on hand to show off their craft. There were Mars explorers, virtual astronauts, ocean pollution displays and exotic birds.
