Alverno Heights Academy recently hosted its annual gala at the University Club. This year’s theme, “A Field of Dreams,” was inspired by Alverno’s Athletic Fields Campaign, which will support regulation-size softball and soccer fields and a practice running track on the southeast corner of campus. The evening, co-chaired by Monica Wolfe and Susana Torres, included both a silent and live auction with guest auctioneer, comedian Debi Gutierrez.
“A Field of Dreams” had a goal of $100,000, which will be added to the more than $930,000 already raised for the projects. Adding to the excitement of the evening was the presentation of the Alumnae of the Year Award to Anne Bigley. Bigley was honored for her work in starting a special needs ministry at St. Philip the Apostle Church and using her voice to champion for the rights of special needs children, including her son, Christopher.
