First published in the Feb. 23 print issue of the Pasadena Outlook.

The founder and president of the Greenline Housing Foundation, local resident Jasmin Shupper (pictured), recently spoke at the La Cañada Kiwanis Club to an enthusiastic audience in honor of Black History Month. Shupper, originally from the Chicago area and a Pepperdine University alumna, informed the crowd about the positive impact her Pasadena-based nonprofit organization is having on communities of color in Southern California. Greenline provides down payment grants, home maintenance grants and financial education to qualified people of color to help restore justice.
