Local Gridiron Players Earn All-CIF Honors

The CIF-Southern Section released its All-CIF selections for the 11-man football season. St. Francis High School had seven individuals selected in Division V, Maranatha High School had three players selected in Division XIII and La Salle College Preparatory was represented by one player in Division X. (Information will be published for other CIF sports in the near future.)


Senior quarterback Jack Jacobs earned an All-CIF selection after completing 199 of 327 passes for 3,302 yards with 33 touchdowns. He also rushed for 297 yards on 120 carries with four touchdowns. Senior Devyn Turner rushed for 1,363 yards with five touchdowns while adding 23 catches for 386 yards and three touchdowns. Senior Jett McCullough registered 914 total yards with 12 touchdowns on offense while posting 41 tackles and five interceptions on defense. Junior Preston Jernegan racked up a team-best 132 total tackles and five interceptions on defense while making 13 receptions for 203 yards and three touchdowns on offense. Senior Racin Delgatty finished the campaign with 24 tackles and a fumble recovery, junior Phillip Ocon produced 46 total tackles and senior captain Naasir Asiata-Tatum one tackle.


Senior quarterback Michael Martin completed 125 of 216 passes for 2,486 yards and 33 touchdowns. He also rushed for 721 yards and 11 touchdowns on 70 carries. Sophomore Miles O’Malley rushed for a team-best 1,760 yards and 26 touchdowns on 158 carries while racking up eight 100-plus yard performances in 13 games. He also added eight receptions for 202 yards with a pair of touchdowns. Senior Yanjun Li finished the campaign with 28 pancake blocks.

La Salle College Preparatory senior Andrew Boecking earned All-CIF Division X honors.


Senior Andrew Boecking was selected for All-CIF honors in Division X. The Lancers’ star racked up 51 total tackles and 10 sacks on defense with four receptions for 26 yards on offense.
